A Ride Through History

In honor of Longview’s Sesquicentennial Celebration, car connoisseurs young and old will get a chance to experience transportation of yesteryear at A Ride Through History, Presented by Whataburger, on Saturday, August 15th, 2020 from 9am to 6pm. Sponsors can enjoy a trail ride or Longview citizens can watch it head through Downtown at 9 am or 1 pm on August 15th.

History buffs will enjoy learning how transportation has evolved in our community, from the humble horse drawn buggy to modern vehicles.

Beginning March 7 at Longview WOW, children may visit participating businesses where they will learn about Longview’s history and have a commemorative passport stamped. On the day of A Ride Through History, children will receive their final passport stamp and a free train conductor hat.
